Samandere Waterfall is one of the hidden natural wonders of Düzce, located in Turkey’s Western Black Sea Region. Approximately 26 kilometers away from the center of Düzce, within the boundaries of Samandere Village, this waterfall is a protected Natural Monument, surrounded by rich vegetation and offering a serene ambiance with the soothing sound of its waters. Flow Rate

Geomorphological Structure

The waterfall exhibits various interesting geomorphological features such as “çavlan” (a type of rapid), “çağlayan” (cascade), and “witch’s cauldrons.” Additionally, the erosive action of the water over time has formed canyons and natural caves, adding to the geological diversity of the region.

Vegetation

The area around the waterfall is encircled by aquatic characteristic trees such as willows, ash trees, red maples, and plane trees. Alongside these, various other plants like water lilies, irises, bridal wreath flowers, reeds, mint, and water lentils thrive in this moist environment. There is an admission fee of 20 TL for adults and 10 TL for students, which helps fund the maintenance and preservation of the area.

Samandere Waterfall is open to visitors every day from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM. These hours are ideal for experiencing the natural beauty in daylight.

From the center of Düzce, head towards Beyköy. Continue towards Uğur village after Beyköy and then reach Samandere Village. The total distance is approximately 24.2 kilometers.

Beautiful place to visit, but you need to wear sport dress, lot of stairs. not recommended fir old people and infant. But in general highly recommended for healthy people. its water in forest

Really loved this place due to natural water fall and greenery. Peaceful place. Family and kids can visit it safely.
